Hi BBC players,
As you know, the Beaconsfield
Bridge Club has been under new management
for five months now.
In November, we outlined some exciting ideas for the club, and
are delighted to say that many of them have already been realised, with
more in the pipeline - you are really helping us to establish BBC as one of the best bridge clubs
around - thank you :-)
Some of the things achieved to date in the club
include:
 |
32 registered members - we're aiming for 40
by June |
|
 |
New
equipment (boards, bidding boxes, table covers, cards,
stationery, etc.) |
|
 |
A duplimate machine, enabling pre-dealt hands, with printed score-sheets and best
bidding on hands – great for helping to improve your play |
|
 |
BBC Committee established (chairman,
treasurer, secretary, and two club members), with quarterly
meetings |
|
 |
Three qualified bridge directors from our club
members, to ensure
the smooth running of the sessions and a happy playing experience for
all players |
|
 |
Regular adverts in the local papers, the
parish magazine, and flyers in a number of local libraries |
|
In the near future
we plan to address the following:
We need your support to keep developing
your club – growing our membership, making
BBC a great place to play bridge, meet
your friends, and have some fun.
Let us know what you think - please email
jdowniebr@yahoo.co.uk or chat to us on a Friday evening.
